Dutch company Holland-Utrechtâ is developing the electric tractor HUE Trac 620 Vario, equipped with a 400 kWh battery pack.
The first units are expected to be delivered by the end of 2026.The HUE Trac 620 Vario is an upgraded version of the 300 series and incorporates most of the existing technology platform.
Production is scheduled to begin with an initial batch of five machines, with the possibility of scaling up later in the year. The projectâs rollout still depends on EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) certification and inspection approval from the Dutch Vehicle Authority (RDW).
The tractor can operate for eight hours
Up to Eight Hours of OperationIn terms of technical specifications, the tractor features a 400 kWh battery system using LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cells. According to the manufacturer, this energy capacity is roughly equivalent to 100 liters of diesel fuel.
With an average energy consumption comparable to 12.5 liters of diesel per hour, the tractor can operate for approximately eight hours on a single charge. It also supports fast charging of up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to be partially recharged during work breaks.
The machine is based on the Fendt tractor platform platform and can be fitted with front hydraulics and a front PTO (power take-off shaft). The batteries are integrated throughout the chassis to achieve a weight distribution similar to that of conventional tractors. The starting price of the model is set at âĴ625,000.
